The Augustana University School of Music Handbook contains graduation requirements for music majors and requirements for non-music majors participating in ensembles and studying applied music. Students graduate with the handbook that accompanies the year they entered Augustana.

Students and faculty can request to reserve spaces for official School of Music functions, such as rehearsals and concerts. A video tutorial will help guide you through the process.
For more information, contact Manager of Operations for the School of Music Matthew Erickson or the Coordinator of Conferences & Scheduling Sandy Pohlmann.
The Augustana School of Music is transitioning to a colloquium model on Thursdays from 3-3:50 p.m., designed to provide a more comprehensive and interactive educational experience. This new format will include special topic discussions relevant to the School of Music, studio classes where instrument families and voice students can perform for one another, and jury previews in a recital setting, all aimed at fostering deeper collaboration and preparation among music students.

In accordance with the goals and objectives of Augustana University, the internship program has been developed to provide an integrative and experiential opportunity for the student. This program is based on the belief that a student needs the opportunity to integrate and apply theoretical thought developed during the university career. The internship also serves as a professional exploration in which the student has the opportunity to temporarily explore an industry prior to making a career decision. The intent is to provide the student an opportunity to observe and participate in an applied experience that is mutually beneficial to both the student and the participating business entity. It is our belief that the student can best observe and participate in a quality program when the organization and the student have an interest in each other's welfare.
